On Demand Webinars

In this webinar we will be evaluating an interesting application to prepare the raw water from a reservoir for feeding into a local potable water distribution network.

This webinar will provide an overview of key digitalization trends for water distribution system operators, and the solutions they rely on for mapping, designing, and analyzing their networks and assets.

In this webinar, learn about the benefits of ultrasonic meters, and discover why utilities across the country are upgrading to ultrasonic meters.

Join a panel of dewatering experts from Evoqua Water Technologies for an interactive and informative introduction of the Rotary Press. Learn how the technology works, market opportunities, performance characteristics vs. alternative solutions, and how the Rotary Press can save you time and money.

Learn what it takes to build a compliant inventory from water industry experts.

By the end of 2022, nearly 80% of U.S. households will have a smart meter. While most of these meters are electric, the modern networks they communicate under often form canopies over many water utilities and municipalities. With the right multi-application network canopy in place, water utilities now have an unprecedented opportunity to immediately leverage these existing assets to deploy smart water meters, leak sensors, analytics, consumer portals and more at a fraction of the time, cost, and maintenance of building out a separate, single-purpose network.

Physical inspection of water service lines is reliable and effective, but inspections can be costly, ranging between $500 - $2,000 or more per property. And the winter months can further complicate the field coordination process. New techniques such as machine learning have been proven to help improve the hit rate of inspections, and support effective prioritization and planning.

In this video Chart Industries' business leaders Tyler Elm and Greg Gilles provide an informative discussion on the different treatment options and technologies ChartWater offers to provide clean water for many different industries.

Sharing the results of ALTRA’s latest PFAS pilot in the field is Martin Bureau, Eng., Ph. D., Vice-President Innovation at SANEXEN. He will summarize the on-site tests, go through the operating conditions and PFAS removal levels, and explain what this means for the future of ALTRA and PFAS treatment across North America.

As utilities, engineers, and consultants continue to pursue a digital transformation of their wet infrastructure systems, new cloud-based technologies are being implemented, fundamentally changing the way work is done.

The term Digitalization is thrown around all the time in today’s work environment. With people still working remotely, reduced maintenance and support budgets and the ever-present pressure to improve performance and reduce downtime, digitalization offers some real advantages. However, with these advantages comes concerns. Concerns about cloud security, susceptibility of networks to outside access and making sure only the proper people see the specific information they should. These are key questions that are being asked and deserve to be answered.

You may currently use mechanical meters at your utility—but did you know ultrasonic meters can deliver more value and capture additional revenue? Ultrasonic meters can be used in residential and commercial applications, helping utilities to manage their meter reading systems more efficiently.

Everywhere you look, new technological advancements impact your everyday life. Cell phone apps are everywhere; more and more electric vehicles are popping up on the road next to you; E-commerce is sidestepping traditional business models. But what about measurement instrumentation? In this brief webinar, we’ll explore how recent developments transformed basic devices into comprehensive information engines for gaining more knowledge about your flow, level and other processes.

The key to solving a problem starts with defining the problem, which can be half the challenge when transitioning from traditional to modern utility management methods. The other half of the challenge? Finding a solution to that problem. Learn from an industry expert who will present a practical viewpoint on lessons learned as a former utility manager, former President of ASCE’s utility-focused institute, and current technology evangelist.

Perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), a group of manmade chemical compounds are an example of an emerging contaminant that is attracting substantial attention of consumers, water professionals, and regulators due to their abundance in soil and drinking water sources, and their potential health effects. Accordingly, local regulation is already in effect in many states, and the EPA is taking measures to control the manufacturing, use, and exposure to PFAS and PFAS waste.

The Lead and Copper Rule revisions are final and the compliance date is set. Whether you are just starting to build your plan or finalizing your inventory, there’s a lot that will be asked of your system over the next few years.

Come learn about Hach latest digital process controller. The SC4500 is designed to integrate easily into your current system while allowing you to upgrade as your capabilities advance, without having to replace inventory. With a wide range of analog and digital connectivity options and the availability of intelligent instrument and data management features, the SC4500 unlocks the future, today.

Acoustic leak detection using IoT sensors is a cost-effective solution to detect emerging leaks in water distribution networks. The acoustic system identifies and pinpoints leakage events with high sensitivity, but it also detects non-leakage events which may overload the utility with data. In collaboration with the University of Waterloo, and supported by the Southern Ontario Water Consortium, an Echologics team used machine-learning techniques to narrow reported events to only the most relevant data visible to the water utility.

Advance your asset management with our new innovative solution, Info360 Asset. The future of accessible, collaborative, and innovative water asset management has arrived. From the field to the office, you want to make the most of your water data. And we’re going to show you how.

As the water industry maneuvers the revised LCR, public water systems may be overwhelmed by gaps in data or lack of historical information needed to build a comprehensive lead service line inventory. Creating and validating inventory will act as the foundation of your compliance program and access to funding resources, so it’s important to get it right.
